Shively Labs has been designing and manufacturing FM broadcast equipment for worldwide markets since 1963. Shively Labs was founded by Ed Shively, a pioneer in the development of circularly polarized FM broadcast antennas. Ed believed that as FM broadcasting grew and the spectrum became more crowded, demand would increase for more sophisticated and rigorously engineered products. In particular, Ed understood that signal coverage was a station’s life blood and the ability to predict and control it would become increasingly important. Breaking with the current industry thinking at the time that promoted bandwidth for icing protection over pattern performance, Ed developed a line of ring-stub radiators that remain the most sophisticated FM radiators on the market.
Today, Shively Labs remains committed to developing equipment to solve the problems of the future. Just as Ed anticipated the need for symmetrical and balanced radiators that dominates today’s directional and digital antenna markets, Shively continues to break ground with new filtering and combining techniques that have changed the face of HD Radio implementation.
We invite you to take a look around our site and contact us with any questions or comments you may have. With over 40 years of experience solving problems one site at a time, it isn’t possible to list all our capabilities – so please do not hesitate to contact us with your own unique requirements.
